On August 9 and 10, we provided nearly 1,800 free medical consultations for vulnerable residents in the village of Huanca, located in the district of Santa Lucía, province of Lucanas, in the #Ayacucho region. This important activity took place at Jorge Meier School, thanks to our valuable partnership with the San Juan de Dios Clinic of Arequipa and its Mission Health Messengers program.
Approximately 30 healthcare professionals participated in this initiative, offering free services in various specialties, including general medicine, orthopedics and traumatology, dentistry, obstetrics, ultrasound, pediatrics, optometry, laboratory, and pharmacy.
We want to highlight and thank the collaboration of the Santa Lucía District Municipality, the Huanca Health Post, UGEL #Lucanas, and the National Police of Peru, who were key players in the success of this campaign, greatly exceeding the proposed consultation goals.
With this campaign, we reaffirm our commitment to the health and well-being of vulnerable populations in artisanal mining communities in our country. We sincerely thank those who made this noble cause possible and who continue to help us ensure equitable access to health in our country.
See you soon, Huanca!
