In 2017, PX Precinox and Dynacor Gold Mines Inc. decided to join forces to create their project called PX IMPACT®, with the aim of contributing to the economic, social, and environmental development of artisanal mining communities in Peru.
PX IMPACT® aims to generate a genuine and positive impact in these communities, contributing to their sustainable development through projects implemented by Fidamar and financed by the PX IMPACT® Fund.
The resources of the PX IMPACT® Fund originate from PX Précinox’s end customers, who pay an additional amount for gold sourced from artisanal and small-scale miners (ASGM).
This variable amount depends on the annual quantities purchased. The Swiss association Global Ecosystem Impact Foundation (GEIF) manages the fund, which is reinvested locally in Peru’s artisanal mining communities through Fidamar, creating a virtuous circle.
The amount of this premium is variable and depends on the annual quantities purchased. 100% of this premium is transferred to the PX IMPACT® Fund and reinvested locally in artisanal mining communities through Fidamar, creating a ‘virtuous circle’.
