Three new schools now have access to safe drinking water. And behind every water station, there is a community prepared to make this solution sustainable over time

On August 17 and 18, we completed the delivery of three water purification systems featuring BluAct® technology to educational institutions in the town of Iquipi and the rural community of Ispacas, in the province of Condesuyos, Arequipa:

🏫 I.E. Andrés Avelino Cáceres — Ispacas, Yanaquihua

With these three installations, nearly 900 additional students and teachers join the more than 4,000 people who are already benefiting from the “Agua para Educar” (“Water for Education”) project in mining communities across Arequipa and Ayacucho.

For FIDAMAR, delivering this infrastructure is only the first step. That is why we also trained school teams and specialists from the Municipal Technical Areas (ATM), while ensuring free spare parts and supplies during the first three years of operation.

This impact is the result of coordinated efforts between FIDAMAR, our partner #Acquavid, UGEL Condesuyos, the municipalities of Río Grande and Yanaquihua, and the educational communities.
