FidamarTo contribute to closing gaps in health and education in artisanal mining communities, in line with Sustainable Development Goals 3 and 4 (Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages, and Quality Education), Fidamar has entered into four institutional agreements.
The signed agreements involve two with the UGEL Camaná, one with the UGEL Caravelí, and one with the Camaná-Caravelí Health Network for the maintenance and supply of specialized equipment in educational and health centers located in the Arequipa region.
The Initial Education Centers Secocha and Carlos Portocarrero Dongo, both located in the populated area of Secocha in the province of Camaná, and the Initial Education Center Santa Rosa, located in the district of Atiquipa in the Caravelí province, will benefit from these works. Additionally, maintenance will also be carried out at the Iquipí Health Center, located in the district of Río Grande, Condesuyos province.
The upcoming works, set to begin in the coming weeks, aim to preserve and improve the infrastructure of educational and health centers, ensuring safety, and enhancing teaching environments and equipment for over 300 children aged 3 to 5, as well as providing medical care for hundreds of people of all ages.
